Under Turkish Law No. 6698 (KVKK), your personal data is processed as described below.
A) Categories
Phone, username, name, gender, location/Buvigo ID data, live location, session tokens, access logs, IP address (web lookups), legal consent records.
B) Methods
Mobile app, buvigo.com website, share links, API, SMS verification, location services.
C) Purposes
Membership, authentication, Buvigo ID and live location services, access control, quotas, abuse prevention, push notifications (with consent), security, legal compliance.
D) Legal bases
KVKK Art. 5/2 (contract, legal obligation, rights, legitimate interest) and Art. 5/1 explicit consent for location, live sharing, and optional push.
Location visibility and live sharing duration are entirely under user control; Buvigo does not change these choices on your behalf.
E) Recipients and cross-border transfers
General principle: Buvigo does not share personal data for advertising, marketing, or data sales.
SMS provider (Türkiye; Twilio Verify for international), hosting, Apple/Google (on device), Expo push (USA, with consent), share page CDN (unpkg), legally authorized authorities (only upon lawful, written, and reasoned official requests). Buvigo does not transfer your location data to Google, Apple, or other third parties for advertising or analytics; map and navigation actions occur through the relevant app or service on your device. Transfers under KVKK Art. 9.
F) Retention
Account: membership period + up to 30 days after deletion. Live location: session TTL + up to 30 days logs. OTP: ~5 minutes. Web IP: up to 90 days.
G) Consent-required processing
Location, live sharing, optional push require explicit consent. Phone and profile data are processed under contract performance.
H) Rights (KVKK Art. 11)
Your KVKK Art. 11 rights are evaluated upon lawful request. Buvigo does not process personal data for ad profiling or automated decisions against you.
Apply to info@buvigo.com. Identity verification may be required. Lawful requests are answered within 30 days.
Liability: Location visibility, sharing mode, PIN/approval access, and sharing actions depend on user choice; you are primarily responsible for outcomes, PIN/code disclosure, and shared content accuracy. Buvigo does not pay compensation for damages from voluntary user sharing; for third-party claims against Buvigo from your sharing or content, the user bears primary responsibility (see Privacy Policy and Terms of Use).
